Biography

I was born at an early age in a large house, the first girl for one hundred years - my birth was a celebration! As the years progressed my ability to see how things were grew to such an extent that people would come from far and wide to hear my stories of love, family life and illustrious ancestors.

Everyone has a family! They are a great source of both inspiration and amusement. Their tales are told alternatively through paint, cut-out, print and spoken word. Truth being unpalatable to some and a great comfort to others.

My current work is a series of small portraits entitled 'little women'. Within this body of work are sixteen ladies - calendar girls - four for each season. Each and everyone has a story which may be told at a later date but in the meantime one must be content to gaze at their snap shot portraits. The paintings are small and intimate.
